MEET CAROLYN – the face behind Refined Nest Designs
TIMELESS ~ CLASSIC ~ MODERN DESIGNS
Born in Chicago with a life long passion for design and home décor. Over the last 5 years, my husband and I did a gut renovation on our “fixer upper” in the suburbs of Chicago and transformed every inch of space, inside and out into our Modern Farmhouse dream home.
Recently our hearts took us to Tampa Bay! We are now building and designing our new home where we can plant roots for our family to grow. My husband and I have 3 boys (all 10 and under) that keep us busy, but I would not have it any other way! Design is and has always been my creative outlet.
For as long as I can remember and most recently over the years – friends, family and people that walk into my home ask me for design advice. Here I am now offering in-person and virtual interior design and styling services as its an extension of what I already love to do .
Interior Styling Services
The process is easy! Fill out the contact form with the service(s) you are interested in. Carolyn will get in touch with you within 24-48 hours to schedule a Discovery call. In this call the goal is to learn more about you, your style, aesthetic and overall vision for the space you are creating. Within 2 weeks, you will receive the mood boards, product list, room layout designs and everything else that is listed in the service below as well as anything agreed to in the discovery call. I want to help you create a space that not only reflects you, but that is functional, classic and timeless. I am happy to work out custom design services and packages and work with your budget! Room Refresh
Do you already have all your furniture but looking to give your room a new look with styling, updated décor, pillows, rugs, or even paint etc.? Then this package is for you!
This package provides you with the vision and materials you need to completely makeover and style one room in your home. Includes: paint color selection, accessories and styling that tie the space together.
Investment ~ Starting at $150
- Initial discovery call or in-home consultation (local only) to understand your style, aesthetic and budget
- 2 design concepts to review
- 1 final mood board
- Shopping list with vendor links to purchase
- In home styling for local clients (+$50)
- 2 weeks of post-design support
SERVICE .02
One Room Design
This package provides you with the vision and materials you need to completely makeover and style one room in your home. Includes paint color selection, furniture selections and layout, accessories + styling that tie the space together.

- Initial discovery call or in-home consultation (local only) to understand your style, aesthetic and budget
- 2 design concepts to review
- 1 final mood board/ room design
- Shopping list with vendor links to purchase
- In home styling for local clients (+$50)

New Build or Renovation
Blank Slate? Perfect for those who are about to begin a new build or renovation and are overwhelmed with the design process and amount of options to choose from. Includes sourcing of materials such as flooring, cabinets, paint colors and hardware. This package is good for one blank space such as a kitchen, bathroom, dining room, mudroom, laundry room, bedroom, etc.

SERVICE .03
Multiple Room Design
Do you have several spaces that need a refresh or are you starting with a blank slate and need assistance designing and styling your room and you don’t know where to start? Then this is the package for you with the best value!
Investment ~ Starting at $500

- Starts at 3 rooms + $200 for each additional room
- 2 design concepts to review
